In a recent AMA hosted by BingX, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, the focus was on AgentLayer, an innovative platform that merges AI with blockchain technology. Moderated by William from BingX, the session featured Matthew Harwit, Chief AI Evangelist at AgentLayer, and Vivien Lin, Chief Product Officer at BingX. Together, they explored how AgentLayer is pushing the boundaries of decentralized AI applications and Web3 development.

Introduction to AgentLayer’s Vision

Matthew Harwit kicked off the session by discussing AgentLayer’s recent Token Generation Event (TGE). He highlighted the importance of the token launch, noting that prices were expected to rise as the project progresses. Harwit emphasized the significance of early involvement and outlined plans to release software development kits (SDKs) for AI agents in October, which will enable developers to build and monetize decentralized AI solutions. The main mission of AgentLayer is to empower developers to create AI agents that can be deployed across the platform. These agents will cater to a wide range of applications, from finance to security, allowing developers to innovate while earning revenue from their creations. Harwit stressed that developers form the backbone of AgentLayer’s ecosystem, and building a robust developer community is central to their strategy moving forward.

Vivien Lin provided broader context on the role of AI in Web3. She noted that decentralized AI is set to revolutionize the blockchain space by introducing greater levels of automation, transparency, and efficiency. This new wave of AI innovation will address some of the long-standing challenges in blockchain, such as scalability, security, and speed. Lin highlighted that AI-powered systems running autonomously on-chain could drastically change industries beyond crypto, helping Web3 technology scale and overcome current limitations. Both Lin and Harwit then reaffirmed BingX’s dedication to supporting decentralized AI projects. Lin mentioned that BingX, through initiatives like BingX Labs, is committed to fostering projects at the intersection of AI and blockchain. This support ensures that platforms like AgentLayer can continue to grow and innovate within the Web3 ecosystem.

Audience Q&A and Token Rewards

The second half of the AMA was dedicated to answering questions from the audience, with participants rewarded from a 20,000 AGENT token prize pool. Ten questions were asked on various topics, including the functionality of AgentLayer’s AI platform, passive income opportunities, and the platform’s staking program.

Harwit clarified that staking is available for all users following the TGE, though specific details on minimum and maximum staking limits are still being finalized. He also highlighted opportunities for earning passive income through staking, node ownership, and investing in successful AI agents. Investors can benefit when AI agents they support generate revenue, sharing in their success. Several questions also touched on developer tools and the future of the platform, with Harwit confirming that AgentLayer will release SDKs and APIs to encourage developers to build AI-driven applications. He stressed that empowering developers is a key priority and essential to the platform’s growth.

In his closing remarks, Harwit thanked the community for their continued support, emphasizing that AgentLayer’s progress would not be possible without the involvement of its users and developers. The AMA provided valuable insights into AgentLayer’s mission to integrate AI with Web3 and blockchain technology. Having a focus on empowering developers, creating passive income opportunities, and driving AI innovation, AgentLayer is positioned to play a pivotal role in the future of decentralized applications.
